Becoming a student


To become an ordinary student of the Scuola Superiore di Catania, you need to register online with Admissions and compile the registration form.
Exam notification is also online.
Eligibility consists in having the right qualification to access the University of Catania’s undergraduate courses.

The Scuola’s Admission Exam, generally given in September, has two parts: written and oral which vary according to the chosen Class: Humanities and Social Sciences or Experimental Sciences.

The exam program is reported with the exam notification.

Students of the Scuola Superiore di Catania must:

  • enrol to an University of Catania’s undergraduate course;
  • pass all their degree modules on time with a minimum average of 27/30;
  • attend the Scuola’s internal courses and pass their exams;
  • reside within the Scuola.


The students benefit from free board and lodging (+ library, journals room, gym, multi-media theatre) at the Villa San Saverio College and may ask for contributions towards external study and research as per requirements.
